This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Sales to drive technical strategy.
• Work in tandem with Commercial Account Managers to assist in territory planning, opportunity qualification, and technical sales strategy across a substantial portfolio of accounts.
• Engage throughout the entire sales cycle, from discovery and qualification to solution design, demonstrations, and closing.
• Serve as a reliable technical advisor to customers and prospective clients, establishing trust with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Interact directly with customers to comprehend their technical environments, business objectives, and infrastructure challenges.
• Design and promote NetApp solutions across on-premises, hybrid cloud, and data management platforms.
• Collaborate with channel partners, resellers, and distributors to facilitate partner-led opportunities and joint customer endeavors.
• Support and guide partner Solutions Engineers in sizing, design, positioning, and demonstrating NetApp solutions.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, solution presentations, and product demonstrations, both remotely and in person.
• Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant value for diverse audiences.
• Develop solution-oriented materials, such as architecture overviews, proposals, and reports, as necessary.
• Address pre- and post-sales technical inquiries through phone, email, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Engage specialized Solutions Architects or subject matter experts for complex or strategic opportunities.
• Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-account-density environment while managing multiple opportunities concurrently.
• Adhere to established processes for activity tracking, case management, and reporting.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of enablement processes, tools, and best practices.
• Participate in knowledge sharing, mentorship, and technical validation activities as required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a customer-facing, technical pre-sales role (such as Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar).
• Experience supporting commercial, mid-market, or enterprise customers in a quota-driven sales context.
• Strong grasp of data center infrastructure, storage, or related technologies (compute, virtualization, backup, cloud, or hybrid architectures).
• Experience collaborating with channel partners, resellers, and distributors to enhance customer outcomes.
• Capability to design and articulate solutions that align technical capabilities with customer business goals.
• Strong discovery skills to identify requirements, constraints, and opportunities.
• Excellent presentation and demonstration skills, both virtually and in person.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong aptitude for learning emerging technologies and applying them in customer-facing scenarios.
• Highly collaborative, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote or virtual setting.
• Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Proven capability to manage competing priorities across multiple opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
