This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead technical sales initiatives for Cisco with customers and partners.
• Deliver technical solutions that meet the business requirements of customers and partners.
• Collaborate with account teams and connected sales teams on client strategies.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for account teams, clients, partners, and C-suite executives.
• Enhance portfolio penetration through cross-selling, up-selling, and competitive displacement strategies.
• Maintain technical relationships with customers and partners.
• Engage with IT decision-makers and various lines of business.
• Convert customer and partner business needs into technical specifications.
• Participate in strategic customer planning to uncover additional opportunities within accounts.
• Provide insights to business units and sales teams regarding customer needs, market trends, and competitive approaches.
• Guide deals throughout the technical sales process.
• Design and deliver solutions based on the requirements of customers or partners.
• Oversee virtual support teams composed of sales resources.
• Develop multi-year strategic plans that incorporate Cisco’s portfolio, ecosystem, and partner network.
• Collaborate with engineering to influence future product development and enhance technical knowledge.
• Create cross-architecture solutions and innovative customer roadmaps.
• Provide guidance on customers’ technical strategies as a technology and business advisor.
• Shape strategies for demand generation and enablement.
• Drive customized demonstrations that support business transformation and objectives.
• Utilize competitive intelligence to establish a sustainable market advantage.
• Coordinate diverse stakeholder groups and cultivate customer relationships.
• Create frameworks for knowledge sharing and cross-functional strategies for SE, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Formulate go-to-market adaptation strategies.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of related experience, or a PhD with 5 years of experience.
• Over 5 years of extensive technical expertise in Security, observability, event, or network management.
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and partners.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with internal partners or external clients.
• Experience in observability or security pre-sales.
• Relevant industry certifications pertinent to your area of expertise.
• Background in a thought leadership role, including public speaking, technical blogging, or authoring whitepapers.
