Solutions Architect – Workday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams while reporting to Engineering to design, maintain, and enhance Zip-owned ERP and integration templates that enable scalable and repeatable customer implementations.

• Design and standardize Workday integrations: Develop, maintain, and refine Zip’s primary Workday Financials and Procurement integration templates, ensuring they provide scalable, repeatable, and robust implementations for customers.

• Act as a liaison between product and field teams: Work in conjunction with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) to ensure integration templates remain in perfect alignment with the core product architecture, field insights, and evolving customer requirements.

• Transform nuances into scalable solutions: Analyze intricate customer implementations to uncover reusable data mapping patterns and system specifics, converting custom solutions into standardized internal assets.

• Assist pre-sales engineering efforts: Collaborate with account teams during the pre-sales process to design and evaluate integration architectures, ensuring prospective customers are positioned for seamless and best-practice deployments.

• Promote technical implementation excellence: Define, document, and advocate for best practices in technical solution consulting, elevating the technical standards and ensuring consistency across all implementations.

• Become a Multi-ERP authority: Utilize your existing knowledge of Workday, P2P, and financial systems to develop a deep understanding of additional ERP ecosystems, ultimately establishing yourself as a subject matter expert in integration architecture, data models, and Zip’s App Studio.

• Design for long-term scalability: Tackle every technical challenge with an engineering mindset—designing and implementing solutions thoroughly once to ensure future implementations are seamless. Balance high-level architectural design with a readiness to engage directly in API configurations and template adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of hands-on experience in delivering integrations with Workday Financials.

• Strong foundational understanding of core Workday Financials business processes, data models, and the Foundation Data Model (FDM) layout, particularly within Core Financials, Procurement, and Supplier Accounts.

• Familiarity with standard Workday integration methods and tools, including Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Web Services (WWS), and RaaS (Reports-as-a-Service).

• Knowledge of iPaaS tools is preferred, but we welcome applicants with a strong core integration logic who can quickly adapt to new platform tools.

• Experience with XML / REST-based endpoints and standard authentication protocols.

• Previous experience in ERP implementation, integration, configuration, or administration is essential.

• Ability to convey highly technical information to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

• Comfortable working with API documentation.

• Capable of testing and troubleshooting integration errors.

• Proficient in understanding customer requirements and swiftly documenting that information with minimal oversight.
