This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting them with their data engineering and architecture requirements, particularly focusing on Databricks solutions. In this position, you will allocate your time equally between billable tasks and pre-sales activities.

• Technical Leadership: Design, construct, and implement extensive data solutions that capture, transform, and utilize data to support AI, ML, and business intelligence initiatives.

• Pre-Sales Support: Work alongside sales teams to showcase technical solutions to potential clients, highlighting the advantages of SunnyData's offerings.

• Project Oversight: Oversee multiple customer accounts, ensuring the timely delivery of solutions while tracking progress for outcome reporting.

• Solution Design: Develop data architectures, integrating best practices related to data governance, security, and quality assurance.

• Data Analysis: Assess data sources for their value, suggesting strategies for data inclusion to enhance analytical workflows.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership: Direct internal teams, offering guidance and mentorship to project groups for solution delivery, while educating end users on data products and analytic environments.

• Problem Resolution: Conduct system analyses, evaluate and rectify data and system defects, applying suitable corrections as needed.

• Quality Assurance: Validate data movement, transformation code, and data components to guarantee accuracy and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a hands-on Solutions Architect with a focus in Data Security or related fields. Proficiency in two or more of the following areas: Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, and Detection & Response.

• Infrastructure and Security: Experience in designing data platforms on cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), applying best practices in cloud security and networking.

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), the Databricks platform, cloud platforms, security, automation, networking, or identity management.

• Architecture and Leadership Skills: Comprehensive understanding of the complete data analytics workflow (e.g., data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration) using modern data engineering techniques; capability to lead complex architecture requirements (discovery), conduct solution design sessions, and create implementation architecture blueprints for data engineering and analytics teams.

• Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

• SQL Expertise: Ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.

• Proficient with IaC tools like Terraform.

• Client-Facing Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in client-facing positions.

• Presentation Skills: Capability to craft and deliver detailed presentations to clients and stakeholders.

• Documentation: Experience in producing comprehensive solution documentation, including POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.

• Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring fellow engineers.

• End-to-End Solutions: Skill in developing complete technical solutions for production, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.
