This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and technical teams to grasp business goals and technical needs.
• Craft comprehensive cloud, collaboration, productivity, and AI solutions utilizing Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical standards, solution designs, implementation strategies, and operational support models.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and operational transition.
• Ensure that solutions are consistent with enterprise architecture principles, security protocols, governance requirements, and operational best practices.
• Assess solution tradeoffs regarding performance, scalability, security, cost efficiency, and business value.
• Engage in architecture reviews and offer direction to engineering and delivery teams.
• Retain ownership of architectural deliverables during project execution.
• Design and oversee Azure landing zones, subscription strategies, identity architectures, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Architect Azure solutions using a variety of services including Azure Virtual Networks, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Monitor, Azure Key Vault, Azure API Management, and Azure AI Services.
• Design hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud integration patterns when applicable.
• Develop identity and security solutions employing Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Zero Trust principles.
• Design and enhance Microsoft 365 solutions such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender Suite, and Microsoft Intune.
• Formulate governance and lifecycle management strategies for collaboration platforms.
• Architect modern workplace solutions aimed at boosting employee productivity and enhancing user experience.
• Assess and design AI-driven business solutions leveraging Microsoft technologies.
• Identify opportunities for intelligent automation, process improvement, and knowledge management.
• Collaborate with business teams to establish responsible AI use cases and governance frameworks.
• Ensure AI solutions adhere to enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and ethical AI standards.
• Work alongside other architects, engineering teams, and technical domain owners to stay informed about current technology standards and strategic direction.
• Contribute to architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practice guidelines.
• Investigate emerging Microsoft cloud and AI technologies and suggest opportunities for adoption.
• Participate in the development of technology roadmaps and architecture review boards.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and design sessions.
• Mentor engineers and technical team members on solution design methodologies.
• Establish strong relationships across infrastructure, security, application development, data, and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience working within large enterprise IT organizations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing medium-to-large scale technology projects.
• Experience in a role such as Solutions Architect, Senior Engineer, or a similar technical leadership position.
• Profound understanding of Azure architecture and cloud-native design principles.
• Familiarity with Azure governance, networking, security, monitoring, and platform services.
• Experience in designing enterprise-scale Azure environments.
• Background in architecting and supporting Microsoft 365 enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune, and Power Platform.
• Experience with Microsoft security and compliance capabilities.
• Experience in evaluating or deploying Microsoft AI solutions.
• Understanding of Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, and enterprise AI governance practices.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles and considerations for implementation.
• Expertise in solution architecture methodologies and documentation.
• Familiarity with architecture governance processes and technical standards.
• Strong comprehension of security architecture, identity management, and compliance requirements.
