Solutions Architect – Digital Native Business, Named Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Influence the future of the big data ecosystem by collaborating with advanced data engineering and data science teams.

• Work alongside current Digital Native Business clients, product teams, and the wider customer-facing team to create architectures and solutions utilizing Databricks’ platform and APIs.

• Assist customers in navigating the competitive landscape, best practices, and implementation processes.

• Cultivate technical champions within customer organizations.

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical guidance on how Databricks can address customers’ business challenges.

• Advise on Big Data architectures and execute proofs of concept for strategic data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.

• Confirm integrations with cloud services, proprietary tools, and third-party applications.

• Work together with other Solutions Architects to support team members and users.

• Advocate for Databricks open-source projects, including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow, and engage developer-community contributors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a comparable pre-sales/consulting role.

• Proven experience in building distributed data systems.

• Proficient in programming and debugging using Python and SQL.

• Experience in developing solutions with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge in data engineering technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, as well as data science and machine learning tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations within the candidate’s region.

• A degree in a quantitative field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Databricks Certification is a plus.
