This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct research and develop methodologies to enhance high-performance databases, ETL processes, and data analytics applications through GPU acceleration.
• Collaborate with technical experts from both industry and academia to perform comprehensive analysis and optimization of complex, data-intensive workloads, ensuring optimal performance of the latest GPU architectures.
• Shape the design of future hardware architectures, software, and programming models in partnership with research, hardware, system software, libraries, and tools teams at NVIDIA.
• Engage with partners in both industry and academia to expand the capabilities of data processing using NVIDIA’s complete product offerings.
• A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related computational science discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in programming with C/C++, along with a solid understanding of algorithms and software design principles.
• Practical experience in low-level parallel programming, such as CUDA (preferred), OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, pthreads, TBB, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture fundamentals, particularly the memory subsystem.
• Specialized expertise in high-performance databases, ETL, data analytics, and/or vector databases.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities, with a methodical approach to problem-solving and effective prioritization skills.
