Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide architectural designs and professional services to Cohesity clients.

• Spearhead customer transition projects from evaluation to deployment completion.

• Identify technical, operational, security, and business risks and formulate transition plans prior to implementation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders.

• Review and authorize design deviations, implementation decisions, and deployment readiness milestones.

• Cultivate strategic relationships with key clients and Cohesity teams.

• Collaborate with Cohesity’s product solutions, product management, and engineering teams.

• Present architectural recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to both executive and technical stakeholders.

• Engage directly with customers to comprehend their organizational needs.

• Create detailed solution designs, including architecture diagrams, sizing specifications, integration requirements, and risk assessments.

• Provide field insights to Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Define technical architecture, including sizing and performance that align with customer requirements.

• Develop best practices for deployment designs that translate into project plans.

• Offer feedback to Implementation Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with Backup Products: NetBackup.

• Familiarity with Virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Proficiency with Physical Windows and Linux/Unix systems.

• Knowledge of Databases: Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP.

• Experience with Storage solutions: NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3, and Storage Performance Concepts.

• Understanding of Networking concepts: IP Planning, VLANs, Routing, Firewall rules, Load Balancing concepts, DNS, NTP, MTU, and multisite networking.

• Familiarity with Security protocols: AD, LDAP, SSO, MGA, RBAC, least privilege access concepts, Key management, encryption, and ransomware recovery principles.

• Experience with Cloud services: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Archival, Recovery Patterns, Hybrid Cloud Data Protection, Data Security, and Data Management.

• Background in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuance.

• Knowledge of Database Protection and Recovery methods.

• Experience in Scripting and Automation (Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow).

• Excellent communication and project management skills.

• Strong writing capabilities and the ability to produce documentation.

• Self-motivated with exceptional organization and time management skills.

• Ability to manage projects and adhere to deadlines.

• Proficient in the English language.
