This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Convert customer business goals and technical specifications into comprehensive solution designs encompassing cloud, modern workplace, security, networking, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Create high-quality architectural artifacts, including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), solution roadmaps, and decision records, utilizing established frameworks and methodologies (including TOGAF, Microsoft Well-Architected Framework, Cloud Adoption Framework, and Zero Trust).
• Architect solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Dynamics, Teams, and Power Platform, in addition to private cloud, VMware, Kubernetes, and Veeam environments.
• Ensure that security and compliance are incorporated by design, adhering to Essential Eight, ISM, PSPF, ACSC guidelines, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Deliver integrated, secure, scalable, and purpose-fit solution designs, particularly for large and intricate projects.
• Contribute to and apply architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and reference designs to uphold consistency and quality.
• Perform peer reviews, offer technical guidance, and share insights with engineers and consultants to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Serve as a reliable technical advisor to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, translating technical concepts into business results.
• Work alongside sales teams to grasp customer requirements, scope solutions, assist in discovery workshops, demonstrations, solution validation, proposals, and tender responses.
• Oversee architectural transitions into delivery, ensuring solutions can be effectively implemented, supported, and maintained.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices, integrating relevant innovations into customer solutions.
• Promote continuous improvement of architecture standards, tools, documentation, and operational practices.
• In-depth expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure, identity management, security, networking, virtualization (VMware/Kubernetes), and backup solutions (Veeam).
• Solid understanding of security architecture and Australian frameworks, including Essential Eight, ISM, PSPF, ACSC guidelines, with ISO 27001 and NIST certifications being highly regarded.
• Proven track record in developing architectural artifacts such as HLDs, LLDs, roadmaps, and decision records using recognized frameworks like TOGAF, Microsoft Well-Architected Framework, Cloud Adoption Framework, and Zero Trust.
• Relevant Microsoft architecture, security, and identity certifications (e.g., AZ-305) are highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience in leading solution architecture and technical design for large, complex, multi-technology projects.
• Experience in developing architectural standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures, along with an understanding of managed services and project delivery models.
• Background in solution architecture, technical consulting, or senior engineering roles within Managed Service Providers (MSP) or multi-customer environments.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage competing priorities, adapt to change, mentor others, and collaborate effectively in dynamic environments.
