Solutions Architect – AI Natives Business

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Influence the evolution of the big data ecosystem by supporting Databricks' Strategic Digital Natives initiative.

• Work collaboratively with clients, product teams, and the wider customer-facing group to design architectures and solutions utilizing Databricks' platform and APIs.

• Assist customers in navigating the competitive landscape, adhering to best practices, and facilitating implementation.

• Cultivate technical advocates among clients.

• Collaborate with the sales team and provide technical guidance to demonstrate how Databricks addresses business challenges.

• Advise on Big Data architectures and execute proofs of concept for key projects spanning data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.

• Confirm integrations with cloud services, proprietary tools, and third-party applications.

• Team up with fellow Solutions Architects to support users and each other.

• Advocate for Databricks open-source projects and engage contributors from the developer community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a related pre-sales/consulting capacity.

• Proven experience in constructing distributed data systems.

• Proficient in programming and debugging with Python and SQL.

• Experience in developing solutions utilizing public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledgeable in data engineering technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, or data science and machine learning technologies including pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

• Willingness to travel to client locations within the region.

• A degree in a quantitative field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Databricks Certification is advantageous but not essential.

• Preference for candidates in Pacific Time; candidates in Mountain Time will be considered.
