This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Handles incoming phone inquiries from requesters related to STAT medical records.
• Responds to queries regarding the status of requests.
• Ensures calls are addressed promptly and courteously, adhering to established standards and metrics.
• Monitors fax queues and processes medical records requests within the required time frame set by clients.
• Collaborates with the Supervisor to escalate complex issues that require higher-level attention.
• Maintains and fosters positive relationships with clients (hospitals) and requesters of ROI (attorneys, insurance companies, state disability offices, record copy services, peer organizations, doctor’s offices, and others).
• Retains a strong understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, state and federal regulations, as well as facility-specific requirements and nuances.
• Engages in weekly customer service meetings to evaluate, discuss, and analyze trends, training opportunities, skill enhancement, and client/requester concerns.
• Accesses and navigates various EMR systems to verify the status of incoming phone inquiries from requesters.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• College coursework is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with MRO daily processes and models.
• 6 months of relevant experience is preferred.
• Capability to make independent decisions and utilize critical thinking based on practical knowledge and business insight.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• Accurate data entry skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Previous customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and requesters.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in high-volume production settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in verbal communication.
