Solution Engineer – Data Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Leverage your expertise in multi-cloud data architecture while showcasing the technology and vision of Snowflake to executives and technical contributors at key prospects, customers, and partners.

• Engage directly with prospects and customers to illustrate and convey the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales process.

• Stay immersed in the rapidly changing industry by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance Snowflake’s products and marketing strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in architecture and data engineering within the Enterprise Data domain.

• More than 5 years of experience in a pre-sales setting (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience working with clients in the Financial Services sector.

• Exceptional presentation skills tailored to both technical and executive audiences.

• Capability to link a customer's specific business challenges with Snowflake’s solutions.

• Proficiency in conducting thorough discoveries of a customer’s architectural framework and aligning those with Snowflake’s Data Architecture.

• Extensive experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technologies, ETL, analytics, and cloud solutions.

• Hands-on development experience with tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Pandas, Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, and other Big Data technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of data integration services and tools for constructing ETL and ELT data pipelines.

• Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, Kinesis).

• Experience in designing interoperable data lakehouse architectures and working with Iceberg, Delta, and Parquet.

• Strong architectural expertise in data engineering, enabling confident presentations and demonstrations to business executives and technical audiences.
