This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical onboarding process for new clients.
• Evaluate source systems and data architectures.
• Create and implement connectors to various data sources, such as: EHR systems, FHIR servers, HL7 interfaces, relational databases, data warehouses, cloud storage platforms (S3, Azure Blob, GCS), flat-file and CSV-based exchanges, APIs, and custom integrations.
• Work in partnership with client IT and clinical informatics teams to grasp source data structures and workflows.
• Establish integration strategies and technical specifications.
• Align source data with healthcare interoperability standards and common data models.
• Assist in transforming clinical data into the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM).
• Create and uphold source-to-target mappings.
• Detect and resolve issues related to data quality, terminology, and interoperability.
• Construct, test, and sustain ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare data integration, interoperability, or clinical data engineering.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards, including: FHIR, HL7 v2, and clinical terminology systems.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines.
• Proficient in consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Understanding of healthcare data domains such as: encounters, conditions, procedures, medications, measurements/laboratory results, and clinical observations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to collaborate directly with client technical teams.
