Solution Architect – ServiceNow Service Portal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop mobile and web applications using site maps, wireframes, and visual designs, adhering to standards-compliant JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Oversee all facets of application development, which include design, coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, documentation of systems, query optimization, and report generation.

• Design and tailor Service Portal ServiceNow applications or product-based solutions rooted in ServiceNow applications.

• Implement integrations with ServiceNow Discovery and Core modules (Normal Incident, MIM, Problem, Knowledge, Change, ESS, CMS).

• Create script-based Assignment and Approval rules, custom-related lists, Access Control lists, UI Policies, and client scripts.

• Develop and execute development plans as necessary to accommodate evolving needs and requirements.

• Possess a solid understanding of ITIL V3 processes and actively engage in ITIL process implementation.

• Conduct workshops for requirements gathering with customers.

• Assist the integration team in strategizing and packaging the ServiceNow service portal integration solution.

• Prepare use cases and functional requirements documentation.

• Draft proposals and statements of work for various solutions.

• Review and provide advice on functional requirements documentation.

• Offer technical support in a pre-sales context.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with the ServiceNow Platform, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow architecture.

• At least 5 years of application development experience in a SaaS, PaaS, or Enterprise Software Development Company, ideally with ServiceNow.

• Strong grasp of creating performant and scalable user interfaces with extensive data, along with a passion for design aesthetics and engineering excellence.

• Proficiency in ServiceNow Service Portal (HTML, CSS, AngularJS, SASS, Bootstrap).

• Experience in ServiceNow Application Development (Scoped Applications).

• Background in 3rd Party Integrations Development (REST, SOAP, MID Servers, etc).

• Understanding of object-oriented and relational database design.

• Experience with REST API interactions.

• Familiarity and proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of design patterns.

• A strong enthusiasm for engineering science and technology, excelling at applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and delivery of managed services.

• Enjoy collaborating with customers, including assessing their needs, ensuring service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.

• Thrive in strategic planning, resource management, production methodologies, and coordinating people and resources.

• Familiarity with ITIL V3 processes and practical experience in ITIL process implementation.
