Solution Architect – Fluent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete technical architecture for Fluent Commerce OMS implementations.

• Create scalable, API-centric, event-driven, and distributed OMS architectures.

• Establish solution architecture, technical blueprints, and integration patterns that align with retail and eCommerce best practices.

• Convert intricate business and functional requirements into solid technical architecture and comprehensive solution designs.

• Set architecture principles, technology standards, design patterns, and technical best practices.

• Assess and validate solution designs, configurations, custom extensions, APIs, and integration methodologies.

• Ensure that solutions comply with performance, security, scalability, availability, and reliability standards.

• Identify technical risks, architectural deficiencies, and dependencies, and outline mitigation strategies.

• Provide technical leadership in areas such as order capture, fulfillment, allocation, orchestration, cancellations, returns, exchanges, refunds, and inventory management.

• Design Distributed Order Management solutions for intricate omnichannel business models.

• Establish inventory orchestration and fulfillment strategies across various locations and channels.

• Architect Fluent Commerce extensions and configurations.

• Define and supervise integrations between Fluent Commerce OMS and payment gateways, ERP systems, WMS, eCommerce platforms, CRM, and loyalty platforms.

• Design and manage integrations utilizing REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, asynchronous communication, and event-driven architectures.

• Define dependable data flows and integration patterns.

• Review API contracts, integration specifications, data mappings, error handling, and retry mechanisms.

• Establish technical governance for OMS implementations.

• Conduct architecture reviews and design walkthroughs.

• Review technical deliverables and mentor development and integration teams.

• Specify non-functional requirements and ensure their integration into solution designs.

• Promote best practices for coding standards, integration design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production readiness.

• Enhance system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Lead technical and solution architecture workshops with client stakeholders.

• Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and integration teams.

• Present architectural decisions, technical methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary technical contact for architecture-related discussions.

• Provide technical support during implementation, production assistance, incident triage, and root cause analysis.

• Assist with pre-sales activities, including solution development, technical estimations, architecture proposals, and RFP responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of overall IT experience with enterprise systems and large-scale digital platforms.

• More than 4 years of hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce OMS.

• Strong proficiency in Order Management Systems and Distributed Order Management (DOM).

• In-depth understanding of order lifecycle management, covering order orchestration, fulfillment, returns and exchanges, cancellations and refunds, and inventory orchestration.

• Significant experience in designing REST APIs, JSON-based integrations, webhooks, and asynchronous/event-driven architectures.

• Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems.

• Experience in designing scalable, resilient, and high-availability solutions.

• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis abilities.

• Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in omnichannel retail and large-scale eCommerce environments.

• Familiarity with cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.

• Experience integrating Fluent Commerce with SAP, Oracle, WMS, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, CRM, and payment platforms.

• Prior experience in client-facing consulting or solution architecture roles.

• Experience in designing and maintaining high-availability production systems.

• Participation in pre-sales, RFPs, solution proposals, and technical estimations.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and integration best practices.
