This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Establish clear business-value metrics (e.g., ROI, revenue impact, cost reduction) in addition to technical performance objectives for each engagement.
• Oversee technical scoping, feasibility evaluations, and solution design for proposals, Statements of Work, and client presentations.
• Create scalable, secure, and maintainable end-to-end ML pipelines that encompass data analysis, feature engineering, model training, deployment, and MLOps.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers to implement solutions that adhere to architectural standards.
• Set code quality benchmarks, model validation procedures, and technical best practices to mitigate technical debt and ensure system reliability.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts, model trade-offs, and operational risks to both technical teams and non-technical C-suite stakeholders.
• Develop operational workflows and user integration strategies to promote high adoption rates of AI/ML tools among end-users.
• Facilitate client enablement workshops and knowledge transfer sessions to enhance internal capabilities and ensure the sustainability of long-term solutions.
• Create rapid prototypes, technical presales presentations, and proof of concepts for potential client engagements.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science & AI/ML, including extensive solution deployments.
• 4+ years in a client-facing role, ideally within a professional services environment.
• Demonstrated success in designing and executing modern data science solutions in at least two of the following domains: forecasting, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, computer vision, propensity modeling, and mathematical optimization.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, along with strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog, MLFlow, Delta Tables, etc.).
• Familiarity with both commercial and open-source LLM APIs and tools such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, etc.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and developing proofs of concept, technical presales presentations, and pricing for engagements.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Prior experience with fraud detection, risk modeling, or anomaly prevention systems.
