Solution Architect – Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical contact for clients utilizing Nymbus Connect data services, such as Kafka streaming topics and Parquet event file exports.

• Provide clients with expert advice on architectural patterns for integrating and consuming Nymbus Connect data within their customer-facing products and analytics environments.

• Offer insights on solution design, best practices for data integration, and adherence to industry standards.

• Investigate and resolve data anomalies and client inquiries, collaborating with data engineering teams to determine root causes.

• Assist in data mapping between Nymbus Connect sources and target systems as well as data models.

• Assess client-developed solutions to ensure they align with recommended patterns and are sustainable in the long term.

• Collaborate with client engineering and analytics teams to translate business and technical requirements into practical integration strategies.

• Convey technical concepts, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients.

• Record decisions regarding data mapping, integration patterns, and architectural suggestions.

• Keep abreast of Nymbus Connect capabilities and developments in event streaming and data platform architecture.

• Identify ways to enhance clients' utilization of Nymbus Connect and proactively offer recommendations.

• Acquire a thorough understanding of the Kafka streaming and Parquet event file architecture within Nymbus Connect.

• Build trusted relationships with client technical and analytics teams.

• Drive the resolution of data discrepancies, mapping inquiries, and integration challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in technology roles, with substantial experience as a senior technical consultant, solution architect, or a similar client-facing technical position.

• A solid foundation in software development, including hands-on coding experience earlier in their career.

• Demonstrated production experience with event streaming technologies, particularly Kafka.

• Proven experience with file-based data formats, specifically Parquet, in a production environment.

• Background in data mapping, data integration, or data pipeline activities across different systems.

• Experience in directly working with clients or external stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.

• Familiarity with the financial services or banking sector.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work autonomously while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• Exceptional communication abilities, including the skill to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Strong commitment to documentation practices.

• Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Working hours should primarily align with the Eastern Time Zone; candidates from the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.
