Solution Architect – Cloud, APIs, Microservices

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and resilient solutions utilizing microservices and event-driven architectures.

• Establish integration patterns through APIs, event buses, and both synchronous and asynchronous communication models.

• Work collaboratively with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to provide architectural solutions that meet business objectives.

• Produce architecture documentation, technical designs, and integration standards.

• Engage in architecture reviews and assist in technical decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Software Architecture, or Backend Development with a focus on architecture responsibilities.

• Extensive experience with microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

• Practical experience with Java/Spring Boot, .NET Core, or Node.js.

• Understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, GraphQL, and API design standards (OpenAPI/Swagger).

• Familiarity with API Management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, or Azure API Management.

• Experience with Azure (preferred) and AWS (a plus).

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm in production settings.

• Background in regulated industries like banking, financial services, or insurance.

• Awareness of Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and architecture governance practices.

• Understanding of security best practices and governance principles.
