This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +15 more states.
• Identifying Customer Needs: Analyze technical and business challenges, confirm underlying causes and adverse effects. Engage with key stakeholders to validate the desired future state, aligning it with success metrics and business results. Assist customers in digital sales environments by providing technical insights and ensuring coordination between sales and technical teams.
• Assessing Solution Compatibility: Facilitate workshops, trials, or proof of concepts (POCs) to ensure the solution aligns with business goals. Highlight competitive advantages to influence the criteria for trial success. Assist customer teams in integrating our solutions into their data environments during trials while driving measurable business results. Support the technical aspects of credit sizing estimates.
• Customer Onboarding and Development: Proactively support customer engagement and business review meetings to ensure platform adoption, achievement of business objectives, and enhancement of customer interaction. Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and expansion, ensuring customers derive value by increasing platform usage through new workloads and teams. Foster trusted advisor relationships with customers to establish a technical framework, quickly achieve initial value, and ensure lasting customer engagement. Monitor adoption dashboards for key performance indicators, actively promoting increased consumption and ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Marketing and Thought Leadership: Generate technical documentation and case studies that illustrate how Matillion’s solutions solve customer issues. Act as a technical representative for Matillion at industry events, conferences, and user groups, enhancing brand visibility.
• Product Feedback & Enhancement: Gather and relay customer feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to facilitate ongoing product improvements and alignment with market demands. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data integration, cloud computing, and data transformation, sharing insights with customers and internal teams.
• 5-7 years of experience working with Enterprise customers in a technical role, such as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, or a similar position.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with experience in Cloud Data Platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
• Comprehensive understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Practical experience in technical problem-solving and integration technologies (APIs, Linux, SQL).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Matillion’s Data Productivity Cloud or Matillion ETL platforms as well as competing ETL solutions (preferred).
• Experience with value-based sales methodologies, particularly through MEDDPPICC and Command of the Message (preferred).
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, PySpark), data lakes, and MPP databases (Teradata, Vertica, Netezza) (preferred).
• Experience with version control systems like Git, and familiarity with Python (preferred).
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) (preferred).
