Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design integrated solutions across potentially hybrid hosting environments that fulfill business objectives and adhere to Dedalus’ architectural standards, principles, and best practices across application, data, integration, technology, and security domains.

• Establish conceptual, logical, and physical architectures through collaboration with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

• Create Solution Architecture documentation to assist downstream project activities.

• Develop solutions that align with business, portfolio, and product roadmaps, as well as overarching industry and internal policies and practices.

• Balance the competing objectives of stakeholders, technical best practices, and align with the capabilities of delivery and support teams within the respective solution domains.

• Leverage knowledge of cloud platform services (preferably AWS) to create solution architectures for cloud-native and hybrid environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, other solution architects, and business stakeholders.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure that solution architectures meet achievable, deliverable, and supportable objectives within funding and delivery constraints.

• Ensure that architectures conform to established governance processes, policies, and standards utilized within Dedalus at both global and regional levels.

• Engage with business, sales, product, and technical engineering stakeholders to influence and define solutions ranging from customer project engagements to product enhancements and portfolio capability improvements.

• Liaise and collaborate with customer stakeholders, including but not limited to Project Managers, Solution Architects, and technical team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in computer science, information and systems management, or a business discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

• Over 15 years of experience in the software industry, including more than 3 years working within healthcare environments and supporting complex healthcare technology ecosystems.

• More than 7 years of experience as a Solution Architect, designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions across various platforms and business domains.

• Strong cloud architecture expertise with 5+ years of experience designing and supporting AWS and Azure-based solutions within Managed Services environments.

• Extensive experience in healthcare integration and data architecture, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, ESB technologies, and interoperability between enterprise applications.

• Proven expertise in applying enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling methodologies, including TOGAF, UML, and ArchiMate, to develop scalable and sustainable solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture workshops, engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, combined with in-depth healthcare domain knowledge and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
