This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assess business needs, convert them into technical solutions, and determine suitable technologies and platforms.
• Create solution architecture encompassing software, hardware, and networking elements.
• Lead development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee that solutions align with both technical and business goals.
• Encourage and facilitate peer reviews of team deliverables.
• Produce consistent and effective documentation that complies with team standards and templates.
• Evaluate current systems and formulate strategies for enhancement or optimal utilization.
• Share knowledge with IS team members to foster the adoption of standards and best practices.
• Create proofs of concept to illustrate the viability of proposed products, methods, or concepts.
• Stay informed about technology inventory assets, identify opportunities for adaptation and reuse, research market trends, and make decisions regarding build-versus-buy-versus-repurpose.
• Connect business challenges with technology solutions within the enterprise architecture team.
• Enhance cost efficiency, future-proof systems, project outcomes, security, and compliance.
• Over 10 years of continuous experience in IT.
• At least five years of experience functioning as an architect within a specific IT architecture domain.
• A university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field.
• TOGAF certification or demonstrated proficiency with a comparable methodology or framework is mandatory.
• Experience leading a variety of projects that tackle business and IT challenges.
• Proficient in modeling using common solution description languages, standards, tools, and visual aids.
• Formal practitioner of IT methodologies and participant in project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in designing complex solutions across diverse platforms throughout implementation and operations.
• Expertise in architecture best practices, development methodologies, domain-specific modeling techniques, and solution documentation.
• Experience in software application development using Agile or Waterfall SDLC approaches, along with specification-level writing.
• Systems integration experience in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment utilizing an Enterprise Service Bus and API-based messaging standards.
• Familiarity with COTS solutions as well as custom applications.
• Competency in using code repositories such as GitHub, TFS, or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to thrive in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Capability to operate within a Test Driven Development setting.
• Experience with Ovation, Salesforce, OutSystems, Boomi, Databricks, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.Net, ASP.Net Core, jQuery, Power Platform, or Cloud Architecture is a plus.
• Capability to juggle multiple competing projects, timelines, schedules, and scopes.
• Prompt communication and appropriate escalation of issues.
