Solar Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver service, maintenance, warranty support, and commissioning for installed photovoltaic inverters and BESS equipment.

• Carry out field service to achieve 99% uptime.

• Identify and repair malfunctioning inverters.

• Troubleshoot both mechanical and electromechanical problems.

• Perform annual maintenance inspections on a periodic basis.

• Maintain records of maintenance findings.

• Assist in the development of maintenance programs.

• Execute start-up and commissioning processes for new PV inverter installations.

• Review physical installations, including wiring, connections, and mechanical state.

• Activate equipment, configure necessary parameters, and verify proper functionality.

• Monitor performance and efficiency metrics.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through outstanding service.

• Generate accurate and prompt product service reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience with inverters.

• Willingness and ability to travel to and from customer sites 90% to 100% of the time.

• Readiness to travel across the US as necessary.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

• Familiarity with power electronics and control systems.

• Understanding of Modbus serial and Ethernet communication protocols.

• Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.

• Experience in the solar industry is preferred, though not mandatory.

• A 2-year technical degree and/or equivalent certification is advantageous.
