Solar Regional Manager – Operations & Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Direct all Solar O&M operations throughout the Eastern region, ensuring that performance, safety, and profitability targets are achieved.

• Formulate and implement regional strategies to enhance service offerings and increase market presence.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and supervision to Field Operations Managers and regional teams.

• Act as the main point of contact for key customers in the region.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships to promote retention and identify expansion opportunities.

• Manage communications, including incident reporting, performance evaluations, and status meetings.

• Proactively address technical and commercial challenges.

• Oversee multiple projects to guarantee timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality execution.

• Track KPIs such as response time, repair duration, and completion rates for preventive maintenance.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across regional operations.

• Ensure adherence to contractual, technical, and safety standards.

• Manage the regional P&L, encompassing revenue, cost of goods sold, and overall profitability.

• Oversee accounts receivable and resolve overdue balances.

• Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecasting activities.

• Identify and capitalize on all billable work opportunities.

• Manage subcontractor relationships, including onboarding and performance evaluations.

• Collaborate with Procurement to assess vendors, negotiate pricing, and enhance coverage.

• Strengthen the contractor network within the region.

• Identify new business prospects within current and prospective accounts.

• Support sales initiatives with pricing strategies, proposals, and contract assessments.

• Align operational capabilities with market demands and customer requirements.

• Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.

• Maintain precise documentation and reporting standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of project management or operational experience in solar, electrical, or industrial settings.

• 3 to 5 years of leadership experience overseeing teams or regional operations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and maintenance practices.

• Demonstrated ability to manage customer relations and foster business growth.

• Experience with contracts, pricing strategies, and operational KPIs.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
