Development Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the client's Real Estate and Design teams to offer strategic insights during the project development stages.

• Lead and oversee outsourced partners, including surveyors, sign vendors, and geotechnical/environmental specialists, for due diligence on proposed reinvestment projects.

• Supervise civil engineers, architects, sign vendors, traffic consultants, and land use attorneys throughout the project approval process.

• Work alongside the client and development team to value engineer site plans and generate precise project cost estimates.

• Act as the client's representative at public hearings during the project approval process.

• Maintain consistent communication with Operators, reviewing plans and updates throughout the development process.

• Create and manage schedule projections for construction readiness across all stages of the development lifecycle.

• Ensure smooth project transitions to Construction Managers.

• Review and endorse contracts and purchase orders for approval.

• Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Qualify and authorize project-related invoices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate or a related field.

• 3 to 10 years of project management experience in retail construction or a similar industry.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a history of motivating teams to meet objectives.

• Capability to represent the client during public hearings.

• Strong aptitude for managing multiple projects and effectively negotiating project costs.

• Proficient in interpreting architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering documents.

• A proactive mindset with a strong inclination to take initiative.

• Self-driven with a dedication to ongoing improvement.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Travel Requirements: 30-40%.
