Solar Operations & Maintenance Technician, Level 4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Foster a culture of operational excellence and seamless operations.

• Provide expert technical and analytical support to all field personnel and various departments.

• Conduct and coordinate complex preventative and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems.

• Execute commissioning and audit services for solar electric systems.

• Serve as the Regional approval authority for PLOTO and switch plan LOTO.

• Document and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual incidents on-site.

• Create corrective action plans to diagnose and rectify electrical faults.

• Oversee or review field operations and mentor junior technicians.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant State AHJ, electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

• Review, submit, and manage the electrical permitting process.

• Collaborate with the O&M Manager to enhance regional performance.

• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in the industry.

• Work directly with the Regional Manager and third-party vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Master Electrician License.

• At least 5 years of experience in solar PV installation, operation, and maintenance.

• Strong grasp of electrical theory and principles.

• Skilled in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

• Capable of safely and independently working in 34,500VAC and 1500VDC conditions.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
