This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Promote a robust safety culture by engaging in toolbox talks, conducting behavioral observations, and complying with all safety standards and best practices.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components of solar plants.
• Analyze system data and modify settings on computerized monitoring equipment at solar facilities.
• Follow standard operating procedures and supervisor directives; halt work and seek clarification whenever a task seems unsafe.
• Comply with all lockout/tagout protocols and never disrupt another employee’s lockout/tagout device.
• Prepare comprehensive work order documentation—including photographs—detailing work performed, challenges faced, parts utilized, suspected root causes, and site conditions.
• Complete documentation through daily reports and other CES project management tools.
• Cultivate a stop-work culture where all team members feel empowered to cease operations if they are uneasy with the task or sequence of activities.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections on newly established solar sites and generate reports highlighting deviations from design drawings, electrical codes, or industry best practices.
• Uphold excellent housekeeping standards at all times.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical principles.
• Experience with hand tools and performing mechanical troubleshooting or repair work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; capable of quickly learning new software.
• Comfortable working at remote locations for extended periods and adjusting to various job site environments.
• 20/40 vision (corrected or uncorrected).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, including while wearing arc-flash PPE.
• Capability to climb stairs and ladders to access rooftop equipment.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends, and respond to urgent work orders during on-call hours.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
