Solar Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Support the design of solar PV systems, which includes determining the size and arrangement of PV panels, inverters, and additional system components in accordance with Australian standards.

• Perform calculations and simulations to enhance system performance and ensure adherence to applicable codes and regulations.

• Carry out assessments to assess the solar potential of various locations.

• Utilize specialized tools and software to gather and analyze data.

• Assist in the testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, which encompasses performance remote online testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization.

• Create technical reports, documentation, and presentations pertinent to solar PV projects.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements and innovations in solar PV technology, regulations, and industry trends.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to guarantee the smooth execution of solar PV projects.

• Liaise with major manufacturers to address technical inquiries from customers and provide troubleshooting assistance when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years of pertinent Electrical Engineering experience, especially in system design.

• Fundamental understanding of solar PV principles, components, and systems.

• Familiarity with solar PV software tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, OpenSolar, and/or AutoCAD is highly beneficial.

• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
