This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Create plumbing, drainage, supply, and distribution systems for high-end villas and boutique hotels, ensuring adherence to local building regulations and international standards.
• Lead spatial coordination with architectural and structural models, proactively addressing conflicts and safeguarding design intent from initial stages through to technical completion.
• Produce comprehensive drawings, specifications, and technical documentation utilizing CAD and BIM tools, guiding BIM modellers to ensure precision and consistency across all deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with architects, interior designers, and engineers to integrate systems seamlessly while maintaining spatial and aesthetic quality.
• Conduct load calculations and system sizing to guarantee optimal performance under all project conditions.
• Supervise equipment selection in accordance with project specifications, sustainability objectives, and luxury standards.
• Review and validate deliverables from external designers, consultants, and surveyors, upholding design integrity throughout the process.
• Participate in value engineering discussions, balancing cost, quality, and performance while preserving the guest experience.
• A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Building Engineering, with a specialization in plumbing, drainage, pools, or storm drainage systems.
• 5 to 10 years of engineering design experience in a design consultancy or general contracting environment.
• Demonstrated experience with low-rise residential and hospitality projects, including private villas, boutique hotels, or resorts.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging confidently with multidisciplinary teams and client representatives.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capability to manage deliverables independently in a remote environment.
• Create immersive hospitality environments: design spaces that influence how guests feel, experience, and remember a destination.
• Work on highly bespoke projects: each property is uniquely crafted around its location, identity, and guest journey.
• Collaborate beyond design: partner with architecture, branding, landscape, and operational teams to create cohesive experiences.
• Impact guest experience through design: contribute to how spaces function both emotionally and aesthetically.
• Gain exposure to luxury standards and materials: work with elevated design references, premium finishes, and globally inspired concepts.
