Solar BESS Technician – Operations and Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and carry out preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.

• Execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an authorized individual while adhering to properly established LOTO protocols.

• Facilitate daily safety meetings and task planning discussions, which include pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).

• Engage with vendors and customers in a courteous and professional manner.

• Collaborate as part of the team to assist with site operations, which may involve overseeing fieldwork on-site with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in electrical systems and components is essential.

• Preferably, 1-4 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.

• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail, with a capability to identify potential issues and propose safe solutions.

• Post-secondary education is advantageous.

• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) internal and external standards.
