This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take charge of and oversee cloud-based data pipelines and backend systems utilizing the AWS stack.
• Execute and assist with monthly data ingestion and processing workflows through AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, and Step Functions.
• Sustain and enhance the Python codebase, its dependencies, and backend services.
• Support and improve the analytics dashboard for clients and the API delivery layer.
• Conduct data quality validation, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues throughout the platform.
• Enhance API performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Assist in redesigning and modernizing data structures and vehicle make/model mapping systems.
• Facilitate the productionization of a cloud-based repair database.
• Minimize technical debt and elevate engineering standards across the stack.
• Integrate and manage third-party data providers and their ingestion workflows.
• Work autonomously to identify improvements and implement practical solutions for the platform.
• Utilize AI tools and automation to boost engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
• 2–5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or backend engineering roles.
• Proficient in Python development within production environments.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, and Step Functions.
• Strong SQL capabilities and experience with large datasets and data transformations.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Background in working with backend APIs and cloud-based systems.
• Comfortable navigating backend engineering, infrastructure, and data processing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical engineering approach.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of systems end-to-end, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and initiatives for improvement.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Copilot to enhance productivity and automate workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter)
