Software Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ownership of Manual Testing: Take immediate control of essential manual testing tasks, ensuring the timely and high-quality deployment of our iOS, Android, and Web applications.

• Comprehensive API Testing: Engage in end-to-end API testing, guaranteeing that every backend service release meets high standards and deadlines.

• Automation Strategy Initiative: Allocate substantial time to researching, designing, developing, and implementing solid, scalable automated test frameworks and suites for UI, API, and integration layers.

• Development of Test Plans & Strategies: Create and refine detailed test strategies and plans for key features and vital product initiatives.

• Advocate for Shift-Left Quality: Integrate quality practices earlier in the development cycle by partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams from the initial stages through to deployment.

• Contributions to Performance & Reliability: Play a key role in implementing and overseeing performance, scalability, and reliability testing.

• Insights Driven by Data: Leverage telemetry, analytics, and crash reporting tools to gain insights into user behavior and pinpoint areas for quality enhancement.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with team members, offering technical guidance and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the engineering team.

• Focused on Customer Experience: Serve as a strong advocate for the end-user, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and consistent experience across all platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) roles.

• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies, with the ability to swiftly master new features and create comprehensive test cases.

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for complex distributed systems.

• Experience with TypeScript.

• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, including Playwright, Cypress, Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, Jest, Pytest, K6, and Maestro.

• Solid understanding of API testing principles and tools such as Postman, OpenAPI/Swagger, and gRPCurl.

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures like GCP and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the integration of automated tests into the development workflow.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the skill to diagnose complex technical challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working asynchronously in a remote-first, cross-functional team setting.
