
Software Sales Executive – Public Library Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Propel sales achievements by identifying potential clients, generating leads, conducting sales calls, and overseeing the complete sales process—from proposal creation and contract negotiation to finalizing deals.
• Engage with a varied array of stakeholders, including executive leaders and operational personnel across different academic departments.
• Tackle workflow challenges, tailor product advantages to meet specific requirements, emphasize competitive strengths, outline commercial terms, and coordinate technical follow-ups to guarantee successful deal closures.
• Create new leads through prospecting and networking activities, including cold calling.
• Partner with Clarivate Academic and Government Account Managers on opportunities within the designated territory (US/Canada).
• Concentrate on broadening the Ex Libris/Clarivate teaching and learning software product lineup, with a primary focus on our Alethea solution.
• Serve as a representative and deliver presentations at various industry conferences and events.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Over 5 years of pertinent experience, including at least 3 years of sales experience as an individual contributor in marketing Software as a Service (SaaS) applications in a significant sector.
• Familiarity with enterprise sales and qualification methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN, Solution, etc.
• Demonstrated sales success with deal sizes ranging from $25k to $250k.
• Exceptional negotiation, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills, along with an executive presence.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint).
