Software Release Manager, Design and Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage the packaging and distribution of software releases to production environments.

• Establish and oversee the release calendar.

• Create and maintain release documentation.

• Direct the execution of deployments to production.

• Conduct reviews for release readiness, milestones, and business go/no-go decisions.

• Identify dependencies and risks related to releases; formulate and monitor mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate obstacles.

• Assist in prioritizing production issues and deliver regular status updates to stakeholders.

• Manage communication regarding releases to stakeholders before, during, and after deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least 5–7 years of progressive technical experience.

• A minimum of 3 years focused exclusively on Software Release Management.

• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and change management procedures.

• A proven history of managing release pipelines in a corporate setting.

• Proficient with Release Management Tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

• Scrum Master certification or relevant experience (preferred).

• Basic understanding of SAP and MS Dynamics365 architecture and release strategy.

• Highly self-motivated and driven, with strong attention to detail.
