Senior Concept Design Draftsperson, Revit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the initial concept design for commercial and industrial structures, converting incomplete briefs and sales inputs into feasible, compliant, and economically viable design ideas.

• Serve as the lead architect during the pre-sales and feasibility phases, taking ownership of concept creation instead of merely supporting documentation efforts.

• Analyze and assess site yield, planning limitations, buildability, and design efficiency to directly bolster sales strategies, feasibility evaluations, and budgeting discussions.

• Create Revit-based conceptual models that align with budgeting, estimating, and proposal processes, ensuring designs are appropriate for initial cost planning and client presentations.

• Develop proposal-level design documentation, which includes site plans, floor plans, roof layouts, elevations, sections, and basic 3D perspectives for sales submissions and quotations.

• Continuously enhance concepts to boost compliance, constructability, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with client and commercial goals.

• Investigate and evaluate site constraints such as titles, easements, services, covenants, and encumbrances.

• Interpret Australian planning frameworks, zoning regulations, and local government controls—especially within Western Australia—to pinpoint development constraints and opportunities during the concept phase.

• Implement relevant principles of the NCC and Australian Standards early in the design process to guarantee compliance down the line.

• Coordinate initial consultant contributions, including surveys, site investigations, hydraulic testing, and specialized reports necessary for feasibility and proposal development.

• Collaborate with planning, civil, structural, hydraulic, traffic, and geotechnical consultants to incorporate technical limitations into early concept designs.

• Aid in the preparation of planning approval submissions, including compliance statements and design justifications.

• Deliver clear design intent, research findings, and Revit model information to the construction documentation team for subsequent development and permitting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit, particularly for conceptual modeling and early design development.

• Demonstrated experience in providing pre-sales or feasibility-stage concept design, ideally as a front-end architectural or design lead—not merely as a documentation draftsperson under supervision.

• 5–10 years of drafting experience on commercial or industrial construction projects similar in scale and type to those undertaken by the company.

• Strong understanding of Australian planning frameworks, NCC compliance, and Australian Standards.

• Capability to prepare Revit-based conceptual models in line with budgeting, estimating, and proposal workflows.

• Comprehensive knowledge of building code considerations including accessibility, fire services (hydrants), car parking requirements, and planning controls.

• Familiarity with tilt-up or precast concrete panel construction coupled with structural steel framing is highly beneficial.

• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent concept projects and adhere to tight pre-sales timelines.

• Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills with sales teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
