Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Provide automated solutions for software processes.

• Strategically plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor testing activities to guarantee successful project implementation.

• Leverage technical skills, expertise, and application knowledge to assist clients, developers, and testers.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions for the testing team.

• Engage in or oversee various types of testing and post-implementation evaluations.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance quality within software processes.

• Develop and execute quality assurance tests.

• Conduct tests on databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware, and software.

• Detect bugs and quality issues in development, service, or business workflows.

• Collaborate with different business units to comprehend their requirements and ensure their quality expectations are met.

• Document and report defects identified during testing and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address these defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Management is required.

• Four years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance testing is essential.

• Experience with Epic Tapestry and Cheers is preferred.

• Must possess experience in at least two of the following technical areas: Selenium, .NET (C#, VB, etc.), VB Script, SQL, HTML5, JavaScript, NUnit, C, XML.

• Knowledge and understanding of all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies are required.

• Experience with computing systems and the application development process, including programming languages, programming and analysis techniques, relational databases, operating systems, test planning, test methodologies, test data management, and testing databases is needed.

• Demonstrates capability to analyze and resolve logical problems similar to those encountered in mathematics and statistics.

• Must be a proactive self-starter with the capacity to employ cognitive reasoning and logic to tackle technical challenges.

• Ability to create and execute database queries and stored procedures is essential.

• Proficiency in developing, documenting, and maintaining functional test cases and other testing artifacts such as test data, data validation, and scripts is required.
