Software Quality Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create functional test scenarios and test scripts derived from handover meetings and discussions with technical leadership.

• Carry out manual test cases, which include database manipulation to generate test data and verify records.

• Record and monitor defects in Azure DevOps, providing clear descriptions of the steps to reproduce, expected outcomes, and actual outcomes.

• Conduct UI testing to assess functional behavior, usability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Implement basic REST API tests to validate response status codes, payloads, and fundamental business rules.

• Assist in reviewing requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure sufficient test coverage.

• Update and maintain test cases as system features change over time.

• Work collaboratively with developers and other QA professionals to comprehend deliverables and validate implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree either completed or in progress in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields.

• Experience in functional testing of web applications.

• Familiarity with working in agile environments.

• Knowledge of functional, integration, and regression testing methodologies.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience with web applications, encompassing both front-end and back-end.

• Basic understanding of Java for interpreting business rules and identifying defects.

• Experience in testing APIs using Postman.

• Familiarity with defect-tracking tools, particularly Azure DevOps.

• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.

• Knowledge of SQL databases.

• Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar technologies.

• Additional advantages include exposure to enterprise systems or intricate business rules, introductory courses in software testing, and CTFL (ISTQB Foundation Level) certification.
