This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee the execution of software programs.
• Lead the planning and implementation of major software initiatives, including project timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and execution progress.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering leaders to ensure that tasks are prioritized, monitored, and delivered efficiently.
• Foster alignment across software programs.
• Work alongside teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle, such as development, testing, DevOps, and field organizations.
• Ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, risks, release readiness, and customer commitments to facilitate coordinated execution across programs.
• Assist in release planning and readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to plan software releases, monitor release scope, coordinate readiness assessments, manage defect and issue visibility, and support go/no-go decision-making.
• Provide transparency and maintain an operational rhythm.
• Establish and sustain clear dashboards, status reports, risk registers, milestone tracking, and communication routines.
• Deliver concise updates to engineering leadership and executives regarding progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Manage customer-impacting issues.
• Ensure visibility and follow-through on software issues affecting customers, escalations, and commitments.
• Collaborate with engineering, support, product, and field teams to monitor ownership, mitigation strategies, and resolution status.
• Enhance engineering operations.
• Identify opportunities to refine planning, Jira workflows, release tracking, status reporting, bug triage, dependency management, and overall engineering execution.
• Implement practical, streamlined processes that enhance predictability without introducing unnecessary overhead.
• Facilitate prioritization and trade-off discussions.
• Assist teams in evaluating competing priorities, resource limitations, schedule risks, and customer commitments.
• Ensure that decision points are clearly highlighted and resolved with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain project artifacts and decision records.
• Ensure that project plans, timelines, risks, decisions, dependencies, and execution status are documented and easily accessible.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to guarantee that ownership of technical documentation remains clear.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software project or program management.
• Strong understanding of modern methodologies, AI workflows, and proficiency with tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Exceptional communication and coordination skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic startup environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience).
