Software Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Craft and enhance user stories with defined success criteria based on a jobs-to-be-done framework or similar methodologies, utilizing AI tools to expedite drafting, research, and synthesis.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog for designated product areas, balancing user needs, business impact, and technical factors.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to outline, scope, and deliver product features, including AI-enhanced functionalities within the Bloom Growth platform.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Collect and assess user feedback, usage analytics, and market insights to guide product decisions and validate strategic direction.

• Leverage AI tools to improve product workflows, including research, documentation, competitive analysis, and stakeholder communication.

• Work with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales, to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.

• Recognize and communicate risks, dependencies, and obstacles that may affect product timelines.

• Assist in developing requirements for AI-driven features to ensure they are precisely defined and technically viable.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and learning within the product team.

• Ensure work items are clearly articulated and ready for development to facilitate the team’s one-week sprint cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• 1–3 years of experience in a product management, project management, or business analyst position.

• Proficient understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in sprint-based development settings.

• Practical experience using AI tools such as AI-assisted writing, prompt engineering, or copilot-style productivity applications.

• Acquaintance with SaaS product development.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote work environment.
