This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead, mentor, and coach the software engineering team to foster high performance and promote professional development.
• Take ownership of delivery planning, sprint execution, and release management, ensuring software releases are timely and of high quality.
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to outline the roadmap and convert requirements into actionable plans.
• Drive architectural decisions, uphold code quality standards, and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Supervise production reliability, incident response, and the ongoing enhancement of operational processes.
• Engage hands-on with backend and frontend codebases, focusing on AWS architecture and integrations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline — or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in managing and coaching software engineers within a team setting.
• 5+ years of practical software engineering experience writing production-level code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience in backend development with .NET or Node.js, as well as frontend development with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery, encompassing sprint execution and release management.
• Background in leading production operations, including incident response and reliability practices.
• Experience collaborating with Product stakeholders on roadmap and requirements.
• Familiarity with working in a B2B SaaS product environment.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 4 trips per year) to Mississauga or Waterloo, Ontario.
