This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
β’ Establish the technical vision and roadmap for the C++ testing ecosystem.
β’ Develop methodologies for engineers to effectively build, test, and deploy software.
β’ Create reusable testing frameworks, libraries, and tools for developers.
β’ Incorporate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to deliver quick and actionable feedback.
β’ Develop platforms that reveal test coverage, trends in flaky tests, and pipeline health metrics.
β’ Guide engineers and impact technical decisions across various teams.
β’ Advocate for engineering standards and foster alignment without having formal authority.
β’ Over 10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
β’ Proficient in C++ at an expert level.
β’ Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages for developer tools, automation, and testing infrastructure.
β’ Proven experience in designing and maintaining reusable test frameworks or developer tools used by multiple engineering teams.
β’ Expertise in C++ testing and mocking frameworks like GoogleTest, Google Mock, Catch2, or equivalent technologies.
β’ Skilled in build systems and dependency management tools such as Bazel, CMake, or similar technologies.
β’ Experience in integrating automated testing and developer tools into contemporary delivery workflows.
β’ Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized environments, and microservices architectures.
β’ Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.
β’ Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Experience with observability and diagnostic tools.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of software design for testability, including aspects like dependency injection, interface design, deterministic testing, isolation, and automation standards.
β’ Proven track record of influencing engineering standards and promoting technical adoption across teams.
β’ Excellent communication skills with technical partners.
