This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead the strategy for software development, guiding technical decisions and architectural direction.
• Uphold standards and best practices, ensuring the ongoing evolution of engineering processes.
• Assess the technical maturity of teams, fostering a culture focused on learning and quality.
• Address complex challenges, facilitating the daily operations of development teams.
• Act as a technical resource and collaborator in decision-making processes.
• Monitor and advance engineering metrics, advocating for transparency and continuous enhancement.
• Collaborate in designing and developing solutions with an emphasis on security, performance, and observability.
• Assist product operations in production, ensuring scalability, resilience, and consistency.
• Maintain service health through monitoring, alerting, incident management, and participation in war rooms.
• Continuously refine the technical roadmap, proposing enhancements and innovative approaches.
• Proven experience in both backend and frontend development.
• Advanced expertise in Apache Kafka, including architecture, tuning, and ensuring high availability.
• Proficient in JVM languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala, along with performance optimization practices.
• In-depth knowledge of design patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS), and Event Sourcing.
• Experience working in distributed environments, with capabilities in troubleshooting, log analysis, tracing, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, including skills in query optimization and caching strategies.
• Extensive experience in microservices architecture, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), observability, and service mesh technologies (Istio/Linkerd).
• Capacity to guide technical decisions and architectural strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Fixed salary payments for the 14th and 15th months.
