Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design and improve responsive web applications utilizing frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.

• Transform functional and design specifications into scalable, accessible, and maintainable software solutions.

• Integrate applications with REST APIs, enterprise services, and backend data sources.

• Facilitate deployments in cloud environments including AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.

• Configure and oversee cloud services encompassing compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, and monitoring.

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and application security measures.

• Apply cloud and infrastructure principles such as virtual networks, load balancers, and cloud storage services to ensure reliable and scalable applications.

• Develop and maintain Power Pages solutions that are integrated with Dataverse and associated enterprise platforms.

• Design and enhance relational databases, queries, and supporting data structures.

• Create and manage data access layers, stored procedures, scripts, and automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, evaluate technical strategies, and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Communicate technical challenges, recommendations, and solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active CBP BI or Top Secret clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is required for the purpose of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. security clearance.

• Over 10 years of experience in software development, architecture, or engineering.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience in integrating diverse technologies and systems.

• Familiarity with one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.

• Knowledge of best practices in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, software development, and unit testing.

• Understanding of Unified Data principles or enterprise data integration concepts.
