Software Engineering Manager, Web & Mobile Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee, guide, and mentor a team of Web and Mobile Engineers.

• Enhance the engineering quality throughout the organization.

• Propel the integration of micro-frontend architecture.

• Take ownership of and refine CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment strategies.

• Maintain and update the Technology Radar.

• Manage the on-call schedule for web platform deployments.

• Administer the platform team's intake process, ensuring alignment with enhancements in developer experience.

• Collaborate with the Sr. Engineering Manager of Platform Engineering to expand the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Architect, with 4+ years in leadership and direct mentoring roles.

• Proficient in developing production-ready applications utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.

• Extensive experience with front-end frameworks, particularly React, including build tooling, bundlers, and module federation.

• Knowledgeable in mobile application development using React Native or native iOS/Android.

• Skilled in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions.

• Familiar with micro-frontend architectures and strategies for enabling independent team deployments at scale.

• Competent in using observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog to track application health and production error rates.

• Experienced with cloud-native architectures on AWS.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and whiteboarding abilities.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience.
