Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and nurture diverse Backend and Mobile/Web teams, conducting one-on-ones, individual development plans (IDPs), performance evaluations, and initiatives for talent retention.

• Interpret and communicate the company's strategic initiatives to the team, ensuring that technical directives align with business goals.

• Guarantee the delivery of comprehensive solutions, spanning from the in-app user experience to the reliability of backend services.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other leaders.

• Enable effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, visibility of timelines, and aligned expectations.

• Foster psychological safety, teamwork, and ongoing feedback, serving as a champion of Stone's culture.

• Encourage the professional advancement of direct reports while promoting continuous learning and technical excellence.

• Prior experience in leading or managing technology teams.

• Technical expertise in software development.

• Capability to lead architectural discussions across Mobile (Kotlin/Android/iOS), Web (React/Next.js), and Backend (.NET, APIs, microservices, Event Sourcing, and event-driven architectures).

• Experience with scalable, integrated, and high-availability systems.

• Strong communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence for managing conflicts and supporting the career development of engineers from various specialties.
