Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture multidisciplinary Backend and Mobile/Web teams, conducting one-on-one meetings (1:1s), crafting individual development plans (IDPs), performance evaluations, and talent retention strategies.

• Interpret and disseminate the company's strategic initiatives to the team, ensuring that technical direction aligns with business goals.

• Guarantee the delivery of comprehensive, scalable solutions—from the user experience of the app to the reliability of backend services.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other leadership figures.

• Foster communication between technical teams and business sectors, ensuring transparency, visibility on timelines, and alignment of expectations.

• Advocate for psychological safety, collaboration, and ongoing feedback, serving as a champion of Stone’s culture.

• Link technical objectives to the strategic goals of the business.

• Propel the professional development of direct reports while encouraging continuous learning and technical excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in leading/managing technology teams.

• Technical expertise in software development.

• Capability to guide architectural discussions for Mobile (Kotlin/Android/iOS), Web (React/Next.js), and Backend (.NET, APIs, microservices, event-sourcing, event-driven architectures).

• Experience with scalable, integrated, high-availability systems.

• Strong communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence to resolve conflicts and support the career advancement of engineers with varied specialties.
