Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of software engineers or manage projects within the Search and Look Up department.

• Evaluate product requirement documents.

• Address high-level operational or architectural challenges to ensure the effectiveness of products under direct supervision.

• Establish and monitor development timelines, while negotiating feature sets with development leads and product teams.

• Set objectives and mentor the development of ongoing projects.

• Offer guidance and direction to the team on software design and implementation.

• Review code alterations and submissions.

• Communicate technical and operational challenges to senior management, while establishing deadlines and priorities for team members.

• Assist in coordinating recruitment, training, and onboarding processes for new team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the software engineering industry.

• Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, Python, SQL (MS SQL Server), Perl, JavaScript, Bash/Shell scripting, and databases including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch (versions 2, 6, and 9).

• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, Parameter Store, Aurora & RDS, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Kinesis Firehose.

• Experience in building ETL Pipelines.

• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and SSH (PuTTY, WSL).

• Experience with monitoring tools like Kibana and Grafana.

• Must possess comprehensive experience with the full software development life cycle.
