Software Engineer – Technical Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the behavior of AI coding agents throughout complete coding sessions, including assessments, validations, assumptions, and incomplete tasks.

• Review model-generated pull requests against production repositories and document issues with their severity and technical justification.

• Create and develop container-based evaluation benchmarks for cutting-edge models.

• Collaborate directly with AI researchers on advanced challenges.

• Generate clear written analyses detailing root-cause failures and boundary-condition discrepancies.

• Write independent technical justifications for all evaluations without utilizing AI-generated text, while employing AI tools for exploring the codebase and executing test suites.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of production engineering experience is preferred (exceptions will only be made for exceptionally strong candidates).

• Previous experience as a Senior, Staff, or Principal Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or Open-Source Maintainer.

• Familiarity with production codebases that adhere to a rigorous code review culture.

• Significant experience with Python and TypeScript.

• Ability to work comfortably with unfamiliar programming languages on a weekly basis.

• Proven ability to use Docker, git, and the Command Line Interface (CLI) to replicate, isolate, and troubleshoot results locally.

• Proficiency in backend, frontend, APIs, data, testing, or developer tooling.

• Excellent written communication skills; capability to explain why code fails, not just how to implement quick fixes.
