Software Engineer – Serverless

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure utilizing serverless architecture on AWS.

• Create event-driven architectures (EDA) that enable systems to respond to triggers from distributed services and external platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the efficient and continuous delivery of software projects.

• Enhance Lambda functions to achieve high performance, reduce cold starts, and optimize resource utilization.

• Oversee API Gateways, implementing features such as authentication, rate limiting, caching, and request/response transformations.

• Coordinate various managed cloud services to construct comprehensive application ecosystems.

• Prioritize cost optimization through effective architecture design and strategic resource allocation.

• Ensure application security through the implementation of IAM policies, encryption, and network controls.

• Actively engage in code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold high software quality standards.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with functional computing using AWS Lambda (Node.js and TypeScript).

• Proficient in event processing and messaging, including queues, event streams, and real-time notifications.

• Experience in integrating serverless and managed databases such as DynamoDB, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, and caching layers.

• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices utilizing Serverless Framework, SAM, or CDK.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for distributed systems, such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar solutions.

• Practical experience with unit, integration, and load testing methodologies.
