Software Engineer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and enhance high-performance backend APIs utilizing Node.js/NestJS, PHP/Laravel, and .NET/C#.

• Ensure the reliability of POS, payment, billing, ordering, and extended warranty systems.

• Contribute to the architecture and progression of the POS application, specialized BFF, and Electron desktop clients.

• Integrate checkout systems with EFT payment terminals and providers for NFC-e tax document issuance.

• Collaborate with partner and acquirer SDKs.

• Spearhead the modernization of legacy systems, transitioning services to contemporary, scalable architectures.

• Design and implement event-driven architectures along with asynchronous integrations using RabbitMQ and AWS SQS/SNS.

• Model and optimize Oracle and MySQL relational databases, MongoDB structures, and Redis caching strategies.

• Manage infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform/Terragrunt on AWS.

• Oversee deployments on EKS, ECS, and Lambda.

• Establish end-to-end telemetry and tracing with OpenTelemetry.

• Provide guidance on technical and architectural decisions.

• Conduct code reviews and foster team mentoring and technical growth.

• Ensure quality through automated testing and continuous CI/CD pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS for backend development.

• Experience with Next.js/React or Vue.js for frontend development.

• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, focusing on transactional modeling and optimization.

• Proven production experience with AWS SQS, EventBridge, or RabbitMQ.

• Practical experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, API Gateway, ECS, and EKS.

• Familiarity with Docker and Terraform.

• Strong understanding of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.

• Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs within microservices architectures.

• Willingness to engage with the .NET/Oracle ecosystem as required.

• Practical use of AI assistants and coding agents in development and technical documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education.

• Nice to have: Oracle Forms, Reports, and PL/SQL.

• Nice to have: ASP.NET Core, Dapper, or EF Core.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of POS, checkout, payment methods, and tax document issuance business rules.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Electron, payment terminals, and NFC-e.

• Nice to have: Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of OpenTelemetry.

• Nice to have: Experience with React/Vite, TanStack Query, Zustand, or Vue.js.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Python, Poetry, and pytest.
