Software Engineer, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of security across product, infrastructure, corporate, and IT environments.

• Resolve authentication and authorization challenges throughout the platform.

• Enhance key and secret management practices across various projects.

• Strengthen internal tools and securely incorporate off-band tools developed by other teams into the platform.

• Refine permission settings and eliminate sensitive functionalities from administrative systems.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to contribute to core backend engineering efforts.

• Manage security reviews, incident response, and security-related tools.

• Adapt to product, infrastructure, and corporate security needs as they arise.

• Partner closely with engineers and researchers from prominent technology firms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing and delivering production software (5+ years with outstanding experience).

• Excellent software engineering abilities, meeting the company’s standards for coding and system design.

• Proficiency across product, infrastructure, and corporate security domains.

• Generalist approach with a willingness to manage a wide variety of security responsibilities.

• Experience in early-stage startups, preferably as one of the initial security hires.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate without a defined roadmap or product managers.

• Familiarity with Python or Ruby on Rails is an advantage.

• A degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution or equivalent STEM background.
